for the Octave of the Nativity

January 1st 2008, the Octave Day of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ (also known as the Feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord) was marked in London by a High Mass in the Traditional Rite at St James, Spanish Place.

The Veni Creator Spiritus was sung prior to the Mass to implore divine help during the coming year. Those attending were able to gain the Plenary Indulgence attached to singing this on the 1st January.
